Easy Peasy Purse Pull

I see this as being a quick and easy Christmas party favor. All the beads and findings to make it were found at Michael's. It's found it's new home on my purse! I had it on my zipper, but Wyatt said he liked it better hanging from the shoulder strap hook on the outside. :)

Oh, and I can't seem to pry myself off the Fire Mountain Gems site! Is there a help group for that??? ;)

Till later,

So Simple

I love blue. This set makes me happy. It took no time to make, but the colors, beads, and simplicity just does it for me!

All beads and supplies came from Michael's. The crystals are Crystazzis and the rounds beads are cat's eyes. I just used a length of chain and added dangles onto it with head pins for the bracelet and for the earrings, I made links out of all the beads, and linked them together! Easy peasy!

Now, I'm off to go get my "bead on". TTYL!

Because I Have SO Much Time On My Hands...

...I decided to start another blog! This one will be much lower key, and randomly updated, though. I just wanted to have a place to show my non-stamping stuff - just for me (and whoever else cares to see how I spend my time). :) Mainly, I want to chronicle the things that I make, so that when I give them away, I feel like I still have a part of them! (It helps me to release them easier, if you want to know the truth! LOL) Plus, I like to gain inspiration from what I've already made.

Now, I DO NOT claim to be an expert at any hobby that you might see on here, so take my ramblings for what they are - ramblings! I know that people will find this blog from my stamping blog, and I want to preface it with that disclaimer! LOL For instance, I only started beading just a couple of weeks ago! I've only watermarked all of my pics, because you never know what people might lift off of your site - believe me!

My cousin, Alison (waving hi!), came down for a visit, and despite my lame attempt to not be interested, I found myself in a bead store, and I was "hooked". (Pun intended.) I had her give me a crash course in beading, and lots of money in beads and supplies later, here I am!

Now enough of the bla, bla, bla. Here's one of the more recent bracelet and earring sets that I made. I used one of my favorite color combinations - green and purple, and I was pretty happy with the results!

These earrings have sterling silver ear hooks but a standard head pin. I simply used a long head pin and twisted it around to hold the beads in place and create an eye for the ear hook. The purple beads are from a local bead store (LBS) and the green tear drops are from Michael's.
And here's a close-up of the bracelet. I love this super pale pink with the dark purple. All of these beads came from the LBS, except the green ones which came from M's. The chain and toggles came from there, as well.

Well, that's about it. I'm not sure who all is going to read this, but I hope you like it just the same!

Have a great night!
